Were You Willing To Die For Jehovah?

we were supposed to be dedicated unconditionally to jehovah god.

we were willing to be persecuted to the death if need be.

if it came to taking a blood transfusion or dying, we were loyal to jehovah and would be a martyr for god.

At the birth of our youngest son we were willing to sacrifice him because of blood stance. He had complications at birth and intensive care doctor was ready to go to court. Our doctor was able to stop it for 24 hours. Luckily he improved during that time and the mater was dropped.

To this day it still runs chills up my spine when I think how indoctrinated I was in the borg. What's is so incredible is he is the one son who left the borg almost 2 years ago and we were with for Christmas this last year. The question that comes up in my mind is "What if it went the other way and he died because of total allegiance to the borg?" A very scary thought. I hate to say it that I was so in. Still Totally ADD

Oh How Far I've Come

so this weekend my girlfriend and i will move into our own place together.

it turns out that “a cord of three strands is stronger” is bullshit and two people in a relationship are perfectly capable of being happy without outside influence.

what a journey i’ve had since leaving 3 and a half years ago!

I know what you mean Pale when you said I can't believe I was once a JW. I have the same feelings and am now a totally different person. Going on 9 years being out from the control of the borg. For you in just 3 1/2 years how much you have advance. So happy for you and your new family and congratulations. Still Totally ADD

Happy Alcoholic Jehovah's Witnesses

for many years since the witness organization, after i have told people that i'm no longer a jehovah's witness, people would say "oh the religion were people are not allowed to drink!".

"no they drink alright.....they can't do much of anything else but they do drink!".

in fact the first place i ever got drunk was bethel.

It's one thing to have a glass of wine when you want it but it's another when you have to have it everyday especially when you have to have a drink at a certain time of the day. On the construction site we would call it Beer30. That's when anytime between 3-5 in the afternoon workers with a problem had to start having a drink between those hour, usually a 6 pack or two.

I knew many witness friends who had to be home for this. One Ex-CO and his wife were pretty must wasted by by 5pm except on meeting nights. They would wait until they got home. Even having large trash bags full of empty bottles each month for the trash man to pickup. It was a sad site to see. For me never much of a drinker. With ADHD coffee was the drink of choice. Yes, yes, yes we all know trump's dickey is bigger than any other president. He will be known in the future if there is one of starting a war instead of trying to find a peaceful way out. Please stop saying Obama did this and Obama did that. As my teachers in school would say all the time would you jump off a bridge because they did. Trump is president now not Obama so man up and stop blaming others for what he does.

Did he have a bad man killed? Yes! But for what reason? To divert attention from the impeachment trial or to save the world from a bad guy. Of course no matter the out come the clock keeps ticking to total annihilation. Always remember 100 years from now no one will give a damm what we think. Still Totally ADD

Cost to build a hall and the lies of the cult

i was listening to a podcast on cost to build a hall and there was a brother from the stage saying it costs the cult half a million to build a hall.

there is no fing way that it cost the cult a half million to build a hall.

Being in construction I could see that figure of a half million. Here are the things to look at (1) I have never been in a hall where land was donated it just doesn't happen today plus the wt. Is picky where to put the building. In large populated areas land is costly. (2) This is a commercial build not a residential build. Codes and permitting is costly. (3) Material cost alot today and being commercial build even more. (4) Even though many give their labor free there is still ones who get paid. I knew many brothers who charged for many items in the construction of KH.

Not to burst your bubble here is another example. I live in a 120 year old farm house. If I lost my house due to a disaster according to my insurance policy the replacement cost would be almost 250,000 dollars. This is just the building not the land.

I am sure the borg is making money on it somehow mostly in resale but it does cost alot today to build a KH today. Still Totally ADD

Did You Know Any "Genuine"" Old School Anointed?

growing up in scotland in the 1970s in scotland the anointed were few and far between, but we had one old dude in our cong who claimed to be one of the anointed.

in the days when it was taken seriously.. i'd be curious how you viewed them.

thing is, he wasn't an elder, or even a ministerial servant, just a plain old publisher.. but he was revered like he had a hotline to jesus.. the other week i was talking to a friend of similar age to me but who hung around the wt a lot longer than i did, and he just commented "oh him... he was a doddery old fool who used to just sit and piss himself.

NUMBER 6 we had 8 of them in our congregation back in the mid 70's. Three of them knew Russell personally. Out of the three one brother worked with Rutherford on the sound cars. Most of them did not like Rutherford but loved Russell. The other five came in the early 30's just before the big announcement of the great crowd. One of them actually died in my arms at the kingdom hall. We were standing at the back of the hall talking to her when she had a massive stroke. I grab her as she fell to the floor. I use to joke I could feel her spirit going through me as she went to heaven.

These old timers I knew for the most part were very nice with lots of history and interesting stories. Nothing like the newbies anointed today. Still Totally ADD
